STRADE Main Warehouse Goes Fully Green
We are proud to announce a major milestone in our sustainability journey: our main warehouse in Amsterdam, Netherlands has successfully transitioned to 100% renewable energy and heating. Last week, the new system, featuring a state-of-the-art heat pump and an array of 140 solar panels, was switched on.
The solar panels are expected to generate around 50 MWh annually, covering 50–75% of the warehouse’s electricity needs. Combined with the heat pump, this upgrade eliminates the use of gas entirely. Any electricity not generated by our solar panels is sourced from certified green providers, primarily wind power. Our Nieuw-Vennep site now operates fully on renewable energy.
This achievement is not only a technical upgrade, it is a strategic move aligned with our commitment under the Swiss Triple Impact Programme. As part of this program, we have pledged: “By 2027, we increase the share of renewable energy usage in our offices and in our main warehouse facility to 90%.” With this project completed, we are well on our way to meeting this target.

This success is a testament to the dedication of our teams and partners who made this project possible. It is a clear example of how we continue to innovate - not only in logistics but across the aviation industry as a whole.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to lead the way toward a greener future for aviation.
